INTEK prepared a US Regional Fuels Resiliency Study for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Policy and Systems Analysis (EPSA). This study applied INTEK’s analytical models, geographic information systems, and subject matter expertise to:
Estimate the probability and severity of infrastructure impacts;
Assess recovery times and resiliency;
Identify options for improving infrastructure resiliency.
Characterize and evaluate the entire U.S. fuels transportation, storage, and distribution infrastructure;
Identify and assessed regional fuels infrastructure threats, vulnerability and interdependencies;
This study served as a major reference document for the President’s Quadrennial Energy Review (QER).
